Beginner Tip

Are you new to running? You may be overwhelmed by all the info available. Here is the first of a series of tips to get you started:

Get the right running shoes. Wearing the right shoe is key and will prevent injuries. Visit a running store and get fitted for the right shoe for your type and running style - it will go a long way. Also, don’t wear worn-out shoes – they should be replaced every 300-400 miles.

Finally, do not wear new running shoes for a race; run at least 100 miles in them before you run a race or a long run.
